BetterEat was founded by Mariza Louw B.Sc (Hons.) US RD(SA) RD(UK) more than 30 years ago. As a Nutritional Diagnostician and currently also an Assistant Professor at the University of Warwick, I offer high-level expertise to assess nutritional status and the impact this may have on your health or treatment response. As a registered online dietician, I can also recommend specialised nutrition to optimise medical treatment and recovery.
Your online nutritional journey begins with a one-to-one consultation, gauging what your needs are. It entails a a detailed look at lifestyle, diet, family history, prescription medication, supplementation, recent blood tests, as well as medical diagnosis.
Addressing what you're missing out on, and how to make improvements, both immediate and long-term, can lead to significantly improved outcomes. From there, we can arrange ongoing appointments with me as specialist online dietician to help devise therapeutic nutrition prescriptions and assistance with the steps to help you make desired changes and further revise and improve your nutrition plan on an ongoing basis. Further testing may be indicated and you will receive guidance to support this if required.
Having a dietary approach that suits your personal nutritional needs is vital for so many aspects of life. From learning and mood or depression, to injury or post-surgical recovery, sleep, exercise, or diagnosis of a condition or disease, having an optimal and tailored dietary approach is highly beneficial. If you think your life could benefit from nutrition intervention or an improved diet, or if you are waiting for nutritional advice from your health service, book an appointment with me, Mariza, here.
Based in Orton-on-the-Hill since 2022, and serving clients online globally, as an online dietician, I specialise in helping people who may not know where to start to understand particular symptoms they experience or struggle with, for example, the following health conditions: obesity, diabetes, hormonal imbalances, gastro-nutrition, mental health and/or depression, general fatigue or low energy, skin conditions, optimising vegan and vegetarian eating approaches and many more.
We can also arrange local, face-to-face appointments if you are in the Midlands.
